Privacy Policy
Nhom Lau Services respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly, transparently and securely. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you visit our website, make an enquiry, engage our services, subscribe to communications or otherwise interact with us — consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are
“Nhom Lau Services”, “Nhom Lau”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Nhom Lau Services, the coaching, mentoring, workshops and speaking practice of Awit Kuac, based in South Australia, Australia. This policy applies to nhomlauservices.com and the forms on it. This website has no user accounts, logins or passwords, so we never collect or store credentials.
1. Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect information such as:
- Your name and contact details, including email address and telephone number
- Information you submit through our enquiry, contact, registration or booking forms
- Information relating to coaching or mentoring enquiries and services
- Information about speaking, workshop or organisational enquiries
- Your communication preferences, including whether you opt in to updates
- Correspondence between you and Nhom Lau Services
- Feedback, testimonials or survey responses you choose to provide
- Anonymous, cookie-free technical information about your use of the website (see section 9)
We aim to collect only information that is reasonably necessary for our activities and services. No payments are taken through this website; any fees are arranged separately and told to you in advance, so we do not collect card or payment details here.
2. Sensitive information
In some circumstances you may voluntarily provide information that is considered “sensitive” under Australian privacy law — for example information relating to your health, beliefs, racial or ethnic origin, or other personal circumstances. Where applicable, sensitive information is only collected and handled where permitted by law, including where you have given appropriate consent, and only to respond to your enquiry.
Please do not provide sensitive or highly personal information through general website forms unless it is reasonably necessary for your enquiry. Nhom Lau Services is not a substitute for psychological, medical or other clinical treatment.
3. How we collect information
We generally collect information directly from you when you:
- Complete a form on this website
- Make a coaching or mentoring enquiry
- Enquire about a workshop or speaking engagement
- Register for or participate in an event
- Subscribe to updates or other communications
- Contact us by email, telephone or another channel
- Voluntarily provide information during our work together
We may also receive information through the service providers that help us operate our website and business (see sections 6 and 7).
4. Why we collect and use information
We may use personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiries and assess whether our services are appropriate for you
- Provide and administer coaching, mentoring, workshops and speaking services
- Manage event registrations, bookings and appointments, and send confirmations or waitlist notices
- Communicate with clients and prospective clients
- Maintain our business and administrative records
- Improve our website, services and client experience
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Send you updates where you have opted in and where permitted by law
We rely on your consent and on the need to do what you have asked us to do (for example, confirming your place at an event). We will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose unless permitted or required by law.
5. Marketing communications
Submitting an enquiry or registering for an event does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. We will only email you about the enquiry or event you contacted us about, unless you separately opt in.
Where you choose to opt in — for example by ticking “Yes, I'd like to receive updates, resources and news from Nhom Lau Services” on a form — we may use your contact details to send those communications. Australian spam rules require your consent, identification of the sender, and an unsubscribe facility. You may unsubscribe at any time using the option provided in our communications or by contacting us.
6. How we may disclose information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We disclose it only where reasonably necessary to operate Nhom Lau Services, including to trusted service providers that assist us with:
- Website hosting and infrastructure
- Databases and secure data storage (our database host, Supabase)
- Email delivery and communications (our email provider, Resend)
- Anonymous website analytics
- Professional and business administration
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
7. Third-party services
Nhom Lau Services uses third-party platforms and technology providers to operate aspects of its website and services — principally Supabase (database and storage) and Resend (email delivery). These providers may process or store information according to their own privacy and security practices. We take reasonable steps to select reputable providers and to manage personal information in accordance with applicable privacy obligations.
8. Overseas processing and disclosure
Your stored records — including your name, contact details and the answers you submit — are held in our database, hosted by Supabase on servers located in Australia (Sydney region).
When we send you a confirmation or reply, our email provider, Resend, may process the information needed to deliver that email (such as your name, email address and the message content) on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting a form and asking us to email you, you consent to this limited overseas disclosure for that purpose. We take reasonable steps to ensure personal information shared with overseas recipients is handled securely and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements, and only where reasonably necessary for the service being provided.
9. Cookies and website analytics
We record anonymous, cookie-free website analytics — a random identifier stored in your browser to understand which pages and items are popular. It contains no name, no email and no IP address, is not linked to you, and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
10. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information is stored electronically through the systems and service providers described above; access is restricted to Awit and authorised administrators through authentication and database row-level security, and the public website can never read back the personal details you submit. While reasonable safeguards are used, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Access and correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Requests can be made using the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making changes, and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is normally no charge.
12. Retention of information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected — to provide our services, maintain appropriate business records and meet applicable legal obligations. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete your details sooner (see section 11).
13. Privacy complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at info.nhomlaucoaching@gmail.com so we can put it right. Please include enough information for us to understand and investigate your concern, and we will aim to respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
14. External websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or platforms. Nhom Lau Services is not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, website, technology, business practices or legal obligations. The current version always appears on this page, with the “last updated” date at the top. Please review it occasionally.
16. Contact us
